Gabriela Coutts at znak.co.uk is a UK-based linguist working with the Polish, English and French languages.

A native Polish speaker, Gabriela graduated from A. Mickiewicz University in Poznań, Poland with a MA in Modern Foreign Language – Romance Philology and began a career as a French translator and interpreter and a language teacher. She was a sworn translator at her regional court in Poland for a number of years. After a period of living and working  in France, she gained further qualifications in the UK – Institute of Linguists Educational Trust Diploma in Translation and Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (Law) – and since 1999 has been working as a translator and interpreter with Polish and English.

In 2003 she became a full member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists  and in 2004 gained a full status listing on the National Register of Public Service Interpreters. She became a Chartered Linguist in September 2018 in recognition of her commitment to continuous professional development (CPD).
